Start Building Free IOS Publishing and Collaborative Spaces this Summer!

I am often asked about sharing student work esp from iOS devices. This project could be made in Garageband on a Touch or iPad for fancy radio programme production values and shared to a class soundcloud account.

Or for simple voice recordings, using the free soundcloud app recorded directly in the cloud.

The important thing is that the recordings can remain private but accessible via a QR code on a school wall display. This QR code Sound wall could be a QR code Video wall by using Vimeo and the Vimeo app in exactly the same way. None of this costs any money. Who needs VLE’s? ;-)

This is a gentle way into using free web services. Especially services that are supported by free apps like Vimeo, Soundcloud and even Flickr. This means that all media bases are covered.

Add Edmodo for collaboration and access on any device from home and you really have a classroom for the future in place for free.
